A stunning self driving 4x4 journey in Northern Pakistan, the land where the Himalayas, Karakorum, Hindu Kush and Pamirs meet. It is the most glaciated region outside the polar continent and it has the highest concentration of mountains in the world. Experience mystical villages that used to be caravan stops along the Silk Route.


Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Islamabad

Your adventure begins with an early flight to Islamabad, where you'll be greeted at the airport and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2: Explore Islamabad

After breakfast, you'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in Islamabad's rich culture. The day starts with a visit to the iconic Faisal Mosque, a stunning symbol of modern Pakistan. Explore Rawalpindi Bazaar, a bustling market offering a variety of local goods. Your journey continues with a visit to The Monument, a significant architectural marvel. In the evening, indulge in a delightful dinner at one of Islamabad's finest restaurants.

Day 3: Flight to Skardu

Today, you'll catch a flight to Skardu, a gateway to the enchanting Northern areas of Pakistan. Upon arrival, you'll enjoy lunch in the town and have the opportunity for some souvenir shopping.You will take over the cars today. Depending upon the time there's also the thrilling possibility of a 2 to 3-hour drive beside the Indus River to the village of Khaplu. In case the flight is canceled, be prepared for a 16-hour bus ride to Skardu or check for the next available flight (additional costs may apply).

Day 4: Skardu to Deosai

After a hearty breakfast in Skardu, you'll set out for Deosai Top, known for its breathtaking landscapes. Along the way, you'll visit Katpana Desert and enjoy lunch boxes on the road. As the day comes to an end, you'll dine under the starry sky in a comfortable tent.

Day 5: Deosai Top to Rama Meadows

Your journey continues to Rama Meadows, a place of stunning natural beauty. The road to Rama Lake offers scenic views, and you'll have lunch boxes on the way. As night falls, gather around the bonfire for a memorable evening.

Day 6: Trek to Rama Lake and Journey to Gilgit

Morning trek to Rama Lake in the morning which can take upto 3 hours going an coming back then hit the road to Gilgit. Lunch boxes will keep you fueled, and you'll stop at the Three Mountains Junction View Point for a breathtaking sight. In the evening, you'll enjoy dinner in your comfortable hotel in Gilgit.

Day 7: Explore Naltar Valley

After breakfast, it's time to explore the stunning Naltar Valley. Visit the Gilgit bazaar and enjoy a road trip to Naltar Valley. Lunch boxes will keep you energized, and you'll have the opportunity to visit the green lake and explore other lakes in the region. In the evening, savor a delicious dinner by the campfire with music by the kitchen staff.

Day 8: From Naltar Valley to Karimabad - Eagle Nest

Bid farewell to Naltar Valley as you head back to Gilgit. Savor some street food for lunch at Goro members will walk around and buy what they like, visit Rakaposhi View Point, and take in the beauty of Hopper Glacier. Your day ends with a comfortable stay at your hotel in Karimabad.

Day 9: Trek to Ultar Meadows

Moderate trek to Ultar Meadows in the morning and enjoy lunch boxes on the way. If time allows, visit Cafe Hunza before dinner at the hotel.

Day 10: Borith Lake and Fort ALTIT

After breakfast, explore Borith Lake and, alternatively, visit the Woman's carpenters. Explore Fort ALTIT, have lunch boxes on the way, and embark on a 2-bridges trekking adventure. Dinner will be served in comfortable tents.

Day 11: Passu Glacier and Khunjerab Pass

Experience the beauty of Passu Glacier with a short trek and enjoy lunch at sost bazaar in Sost. Head towards Khunjerab Pass and return to your hotel.

Day 12: Shimshal Valley

Travel to Shimshal Valley through a scenic and adventurous road, enjoying lunch boxes on the way. Experience tea in a local house with a local family before returning to your camping site for dinner.

Day 13: More of Shimshal Valley

After breakfast, you have the option to trek on the glacier (if time permits) before returning to Borith Lake. Enjoy lunch boxes on the road and return to Borith Lake for dinner, accompanied by a bonfire and local musicians.

Day 14: Aattabad Lake and Ganish Village-Gilgit

Explore Aattabad Lake with a boat cruise, have lunch boxes on the way, and visit Ganish Village. Discover Fort BALTIT before a relaxing dinner at your hotel in Gilgit.

Day 15: Phander Valley or Langar

Embark on a picturesque journey through Phander Valley, enjoying lunch boxes on the way. Set up camp and savor dinner under the stars.

Day 16: Chitral

Travel to Chitral via Shandur Pass, have lunch on the road, and enjoy dinner at your hotel. Our hotel will be in the bazaar so you will have a chance to visit the local bazaar which is full with items smuggled from Afghanistan and China.

Day 17: Kalash Valley

Experience the unique Kalash Valley with camping in Kalash Village. Enjoy free time in Chitral, visit the Kalashi Museum, and explore Kalashi Village and local winery . An evening of local music, dance, and a bonfire awaits.

Day 18: From Kalash Valley to Swat

Journey to Swat with lunch boxes on the way and drop off the cars. Relax and enjoy dinner at your hotel.

Day 19: Swat to Islamabad

Travel by bus to Takht-i-Bhai and relish lunch boxes on the road. Rest at the hotel and then we will have farewell dinner at a city restaurant.

Day 20: Departure from Islamabad
